Die groen voedelslyste bevat geen of min koolhidrate.
Indien gewigsverlies, tesame met bloedsuikerbeheer, jou doel is, vermy melkprodukte en neute.
Gee jou liggaam kans om aan te pas by die leefstyl.
Wanneer jy met die leefstyl begin sal jy vind dat jy die eerste week of twee honger is en moeg voel. Eet van die groenlys en vetterige kos. Al beteken dit dat jy dalk effe gaan gewig optel. Jy sal dit vinnig verloor wanneer jou liggaam aangepas is. (Dit geld vir kinders ook)
Jy kan ook ander simptome ervaar as gevolg van die koolhidraat onttrekking. Dit sluit in hoofpyn, naarheid en verkoue simptome.
Die simptome kan verlig word deur meer water en sout in te neem.
'n Newe efek wat sommige mense kan ervaar is hardlywigheid. Om dit te verlig neem meer sout in. Drink 'n glas water met sout in die oggend en jou probleem kan verlig word.
'n Verdere newe effek is krampe, wat ook die gevolg is van dehidrasie en verlies aan elektroliete. Weereens neem meer sout in en ook magnesium (chelated) 'n goeie bron hiervan is tuisgemaakte been en vleisaftreksel.

Give your body time to adapt to this lifestyle.
When starting out, you will find, for the first week or two, that your are hungry and tired. Eat enough of the green list and eat more fatty foods. You may gain a few kilo's but will soon lose it when your body is adapted. (This is also true for kids)
You may experience "carb flu" which includes symptoms like headaches, lethargy, nauseousness, or flu-like symptoms.
These symptoms can all be alleviated by taking in more water and salt.
A side effect of a low-carb lifestyle may sometimes be constipation. Again taking in more salt may help. Drinking a glass of water with salt in the morning may also help.
You may also experience cramps which is the result of losing electrolytes with water. More salt may help as well as chelated magnesium. A very good source is homemade broth, made from meaty bones.
